Sodexo has become the first in the facilities management industry to be awarded Premier Partner accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Approved Status from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

CIMA Premier Partner accreditation and ACCA Approved Status is presented for 'excellence in supporting lifelong professional development' and reflects the importance Sodexo places on career-long training and development.

In 2012, Sodexo introduced a finance graduate programme which currently sees seven university graduates working within Sodexo’s finance functions.

Sodexo previously held the awards for CIMA training quality partner and CIMA development quality partner in recognition of the ongoing development of finance employees and the graduate programme.

Lynn Mawdsley, chief finance officer for Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “Sodexo has been able to demonstrate the quality professional development initiatives to the highest level that CIMA and ACCA award and we can be viewed externally as an employer of choice for financial professionals. This status allows us to unlock more professional development for our finance community, by giving more of our people access to resources that will help them develop their finance career.”
