Sodexo secure their place in security award finals

Sodexo’s security team, SECURE, have been announced as finalists in five categories at this year’s Security Excellence Awards, which will be held in October at London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane and attended by nearly 1,000 industry experts.

Highlighting the best people, projects and processes used by the UK’s security sector, the awards, now in its fourteenth year, are described as the industry’s “Oscars”, prompting fierce competition in the race to achieve one.

Sodexo are finalists in five of the 18 sought after award categories, including: IT Initiative of the Year, Environmental Initiative of the Year, Customer Care Initiative of the Year, Contribution to Standards in the Security Sector and Guarding Company of the Year.

An enormous achievement, this year’s result continues Sodexo’s upward trend of having three finalists in the 2010 awards, four in 2011, and now five in 2012.

Of the announcement, Simon Pears, head of security, said: “Being selected as finalists is a great reflection of the daily dedication shown by the team to provide a thorough, innovative and original security service to our clients. We now look forward to October, when the winners will be announced.”
