Independents by Sodexo has been awarded a seven year contract with Haberdashers’ Aske’s Elstree Schools. The contract, which starts in August 2020, will see Sodexo deliver cleaning services for both the boys’ and the girls’ schools.

The Boys’ School was founded in 1690 and the girls’ school was founded in 1875. In 2017 Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School was The Sunday Times independent school of the year. The two schools are located on the same site in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

Jeremy Alderton, Managing Director, Independents by Sodexo, said:

We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. Both schools are steeped in history and we know how important a clean, safe environment is. We will be applying our skills and expertise to ensure standards at both schools are at the highest level.

Sodexo will focus on enriching the student and staff experience at the two schools by driving innovation within the cleaning service and providing exceptional contract management support.

This new contract demonstrates how Sodexo has continued to develop its services and worked with clients through the Covid-19 outbreak. Sodexo’s priority remains the same - to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and all those it serves.

Michael Lewis (Director of Operations) at Haberdashers Aske’s Elstree Schools, said: “We are looking forward to partnering with Sodexo to provide the peace of mind of our staff, parents and student body that the schools offer a safe and trusted environment in which our students can thrive.”
