Sodexo, the world’s largest services company, has been awarded the five year contract to provide a range of services to the Scottish Public Pensions Agency, an agency of the Scottish Government.

The new £500,000 plus contract will see Sodexo deliver a range of hard FM services; cleaning; waste management and pest control at the Scottish Public Pensions’ head office in the Scottish Borders.

A SPPA spokesperson said:  “We welcome this opportunity to work with Sodexo. By consolidating a range of FM services within a single contract we can both maintain the highest levels of service quality and deliver value for money to the public.”

Graham Box, Managing Director for Government Services, Sodexo said:  “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract.  The Scottish Public Pensions Agency is committed to paying the Living Wage which extends to our employees who will be delivering the services at its head office. Sodexo UK & Ireland is committed to working with our clients and with the wider industry to promote fair pay and tackle in-work poverty and last year became a recognised service provider by the Living Wage Foundation so we were thrilled to learn that this would be included within the contract.”
