Sodexo received the Best Process Improvement Initiative award at the 2016 CIPS Supply Management Awards.

Sodexo was recognised for its chilled product consolidation programme, which brought together the direct dairy and direct deli supply chains into a central distribution network. The result of this consolidation has removed 132,000 deliveries, 100,000 invoices and reduced 86 tonnes of CO2.

Over 1000 guest attended the prestigious awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane London. Respected as a benchmark for excellence, a CIPS Supply Management Award is the most prestigious recognition an organisation or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive.

Judges from a wide selection of backgrounds, sectors and industries had this to say about Sodexo UK & Ireland work in 2016 “There were significant benefits here, not only for those stakeholders but also for the rest of the business and the environment."

Sodexo was also a finalist in the Best Contribution to Corporate Responsibility Award in recognition of its supply chain inclusion programme, which is designed to help small to medium sized enterprises enter Sodexo’s supply chain.
